About
Hopwood Hall College and University Centre
Hopwood Hall College and University Centre is a further education provider with campuses in Rochdale and Middleton offering a broad range of apprenticeships and vocational training for school leavers, adult learners and employers. The college delivers apprenticeships across multiple sectors, including building services (electrical and plumbing), construction and trades, motor vehicle, engineering and manufacturing, business and accounting, health and social care, and hospitality and catering, with programmes available from intermediate (level 2) through advanced (level 3) and higher levels. Apprenticeships are structured with approximately 80% of time spent in the workplace and 20% in off‑the‑job training at the college, leading to recognised industry qualifications. Hopwood Hall emphasises employer‑designed standards and works with a wide range of regional employers, supporting both recruitment of new apprentices and upskilling of existing staff through a dedicated apprenticeships team and business support package. In addition to apprenticeships, the college offers full‑time and part‑time courses for 16–19 year‑olds, adult learning programmes, higher education courses through its University Centre, short online and flexible learning options, and sector‑specific workforce development and training for trades for employers.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
