Hertford Regional College (HRC) is a general further education college with campuses in Broxbourne and Ware offering a wide range of professional and technical education and training for post‑16 learners and adults. Its apprenticeship provision covers multiple sectors, including accountancy, bricklaying, business administration, carpentry, early years, electrical installation, hairdressing, motor vehicle, multi‑channel marketing, property maintenance, teaching assistant, team leading and welding. Apprenticeships at HRC combine workplace experience with college-based learning, typically lasting between one and four years depending on level, and are aimed at new entrants, those looking to upskill, and career changers. The college works in partnership with an increasing number of employers, providing support with funding advice, training plans, recruitment of apprentices and managing evaluations. Beyond apprenticeships, HRC delivers full-time study programmes for 16–19-year-olds, adult learning, provision for learners with high needs, higher education in partnership with the University of Hertfordshire, T Levels, and commercial programmes, making it a flexible training partner for employers and individuals seeking skills development and progression opportunities.
