About
Harris Federation
Harris Federation is a large multi‑academy trust operating schools across London and Essex that also delivers structured professional development and apprenticeship training for its staff. Through the Harris Institute of Teaching and Leadership and a wider CPD offer, the Federation provides subject‑specific training, National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) and leadership development pathways for employees at all career stages. As an accredited apprenticeship provider and main provider, Harris Federation runs in‑house apprenticeship programmes and supplements these with courses from external partners to create a broad training offer. Since 2019, it has acted as both an employer provider and, more recently, a main provider of apprenticeships, currently offering the Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 and Coaching Professional Level 5 standards. In January 2024, Ofsted rated the Federation’s apprenticeship provision as ‘Good’, citing the quality and impact of the training. The organisation emphasises using its apprenticeship levy for staff development, providing protected study time, mentoring and workplace learning designed to support progression into and through leadership roles within education.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
