About
GTG Training
GTG Training is a UK training provider that began as the Glasgow Training Group in 1971 to deliver high‑quality apprenticeships for the automotive industry and has since expanded into a multi‑centre training organisation. Now part of the Arnold Clark Group, GTG delivers apprenticeship programmes and commercial training across disciplines including Automotive Technical, Transport and Logistics, Business Skills, Computer and IT, Health and Safety, Construction and driver training. Apprenticeships are offered in automotive, engineering, transport, logistics and business services, typically lasting from 12 months to four years, combining workplace learning with off‑the‑job training at GTG’s centres in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Wolverhampton. Apprentices gain practical skills, knowledge and recognised qualifications, with provision approved by bodies such as SQA, IMI and City & Guilds. GTG also provides a wide range of short courses and professional development programmes for employers and individuals, alongside specialist services such as a health and safety advisory service, employability programmes and resettlement training. Significant ongoing investment in facilities, technology and equipment underpins GTG’s focus on flexible, industry‑relevant training that supports workforce development in the automotive, transport and related sectors.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
