About
Goddard Veterinary Group
Goddard Veterinary Group delivers veterinary apprenticeship and professional training through the Goddard Veterinary Nursing College, based on the London/Essex border. The college is described as an Ofsted “Good”-rated dedicated veterinary nursing college offering apprenticeships, professional qualification training and work placements for those aiming to become Veterinary Care Support Assistants or Registered Veterinary Nurses. Its apprenticeship provision currently includes the Animal Care & Welfare Standard – Veterinary Care Support Certificate (Level 2), accredited by VetSkill, and the Veterinary Nursing Small Animal Pathway Diploma (Level 3), accredited by Lantra. Apprentices are employed in Goddard’s London-area practices, combining full-time, salaried on-the-job training in RCVS-accredited practices with weekly online and in-college learning. The college uses a hybrid learning model with remote teaching, small-group on-site classes and access to a clinical skills centre designed to simulate real veterinary environments. Alongside apprenticeships, the organisation’s in-house training department runs a comprehensive schedule of CPD modules, practical sessions, in-practice training and events with keynote speakers, and supports vets with funded modular certificate courses and protected training leave, while nursing staff and support colleagues also receive paid training time and access to internal CPD.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
