Founders and Coders

About
Founders and Coders
Founders and Coders is a UK-based training provider offering free, employer-focused programmes in software development and machine learning. Their Software Foundation is a part-time Skills Bootcamp delivered three times a year, combining online evening sessions, in‑person Saturday workshops and self‑study to cover front‑ and back‑end web development, DevOps engineering with AWS, and AI engineering using the OpenAI API. The Foundation includes community-based learning via Discord, meet‑ups and applicant workshops, and supports participants in building a portfolio and preparing for software developer roles. Subject to availability, completing the Software Foundation can lead to a Software Developer apprenticeship, where apprentices are employed full time, typically for 12 months or more, and return to Founders and Coders one day per week for further study and preparation for end‑point assessment. In addition, Founders and Coders delivers government‑funded Generative AI training, including an AI apprenticeship, Skills Bootcamps in Data Engineering and paid courses in AI and MLOps, aimed at software engineers and academics who want to learn to fine‑tune large language models and scale end‑to‑end deep learning systems. Employers can either send existing staff on these programmes or hire graduates with no recruitment fees.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
