F-TEC is a specialist independent training provider focused on the material handling sector, delivering apprenticeship and technical training for lift truck and powered access engineering. Based in Swindon, the organisation operates a dedicated 15,000 sq. ft training centre with four fully equipped training rooms, three diagnostic workshops and an external equipment demonstration area to support practical, industry-relevant learning. F-TEC works with leading manufacturers and more than 40 independent companies in the lift truck industry to provide programmes designed by the industry, for the industry. Its apprenticeship offer includes the Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician apprenticeship, typically delivered via block release, equipping service technicians with skills in servicing, repair, inspection and fault diagnosis across a range of lift trucks and powered access machines. In addition to apprenticeships, F-TEC offers an extensive range of engineering courses such as advanced-level technical programmes, F-TEC Thorough Examination, diagnostics, electronics, robotics, hydraulics, high-voltage systems and general upskilling for existing engineers. F-TEC Forklift Training Engineering Centre Ltd is inspected by Ofsted as an independent learning provider and was graded ‘Good’ overall, including for apprenticeships, at its full inspection in August 2021.
