About
Make UK
Make UK is the manufacturers’ organisation providing industry-focused apprenticeship and skills training for the UK manufacturing and engineering sectors. Through its Future Makers and Apprenticeships & Skills offer, Make UK delivers electrical, mechanical and multi-skilled engineering apprenticeships from a state-of-the-art Technology Hub and Technical Training Campus in Birmingham, equipped to teach robotics, automation, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, welding and PLC programming. The organisation trains hundreds of manufacturing apprentices each year and offers flexible delivery models, including a residential programme that allows employers nationwide to send apprentices for full-time off‑the‑job training in a high‑tech simulated manufacturing environment. Apprenticeship programmes are built around the current and future skills needs of manufacturing employers, with customised recruitment, qualification and training plans, and delivery either at Make UK’s own facilities or in partnership with vetted local providers. Make UK’s training is endorsed and accredited by awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, EAL and Pearson, and it currently holds an Ofsted Grade 2 rating. In addition to apprenticeships, Make UK provides wider workforce development through short courses and qualifications in areas such as health and safety and environmental management, alongside broader business support and policy advocacy for manufacturers.(makeuk.org)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
