About
Derby College Group
Derby College Group (DCG) is one of the larger further education colleges in the UK, offering a broad range of apprenticeships and vocational training across Derbyshire and beyond. The college works with around 3,000 employers of all sizes and industries to deliver work‑based learning that aligns with business needs, focusing on building a more professional, skilled and sustainable workforce for the future. Apprenticeships are available in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture and animal care, barbering, hair, business, customer service, leadership and management, catering and hospitality, construction and the built environment, early years, education and training, engineering and manufacturing technologies, health and dental, and HR support. DCG supports employers with training needs analysis, workforce planning, levy and funding advice, and a recruitment service for new apprentices, as well as upskilling and reskilling existing staff. Most apprenticeship training is delivered on-the-job, often with a day a week of college-based learning, leading to industry-recognised qualifications including NVQs, Functional Skills and technical certificates at Levels 2, 3 and above. DCG also offers wider provision including adult and community courses and higher education, delivered across multiple campuses such as the Roundhouse, Ilkeston, Joseph Wright Centre and Broomfield Hall.(derby-college.ac.uk)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
