Cornwall Marine Network is a private, not‑for‑profit membership organisation that supports the marine sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly through business services, skills development and apprenticeships. Established by local marine businesses, it provides a dedicated apprenticeship scheme designed to enhance employers’ workforces by recruiting new apprentices or converting existing staff onto apprenticeship programmes. CMN offers an effective recruitment and brokerage service, sources suitable training wherever the business is located, and delivers apprenticeship training one-to-one at employer premises, with programmes tailored to organisational requirements. Its apprenticeship pathways span marine and built environment, engineering, business and childcare, with specific standards including Level 3 Boatbuilder, Marina and Boatyard Operative Level 2, Engineering Operative Level 2, Engineering Fitter Level 3, Engineering Technician Level 3, Business Administrator Level 3, Customer Service Practitioner Level 2, Customer Service Specialist Level 3, Content Creator Level 3, Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3, Event Assistant Level 3, Operations or Departmental Manager Level 5, Outdoor Activity Instructor Level 3, Safety, Health and Environment Technician Level 3, Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2, Teaching Assistant Level 3, and several Early Years apprenticeships at Levels 2–5. Alongside apprenticeships, CMN delivers business training courses and skills brokerage to improve productivity, support growth and strengthen the competitiveness of Cornwall’s marine sector.
