SCITTELS

About
SCITTELS
SCITTELS (School Centred Initial Teacher Training in East London Schools) is a consortium of partnership schools across East and South East London that work together to deliver initial teacher training leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Based at Colegrave Primary School in Stratford, the provider focuses on developing excellent teachers who can provide high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences for diverse urban communities. SCITTELS offers a range of one‑year, full‑time primary Initial Teacher Training programmes, including a tuition‑fee QTS‑only route, a tuition‑fee QTS with PGCE route, and a Post Graduate Teacher Apprenticeship (salaried) programme. All programmes combine school‑based experience with centre‑based training delivered by expert practitioners, such as local authority advisers, with a strong emphasis on reflective practice. The consortium highlights inclusion, equal opportunities, and anti‑racism as core features of its curriculum and culture, aiming to prepare trainees to value and build on the linguistic, religious and cultural diversity of East London pupils. Ofsted has graded SCITTELS as Outstanding, and many trainees secure employment as Early Career Teachers within partnership or local schools after completing their training.
