About
CIPFA
CIPFA – the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy – is a professional accountancy body that also acts as an approved and established apprenticeship training provider. It delivers levy‑funded apprenticeships in accountancy and counter fraud to employers across the public sector, including central and local government, health and other public services. CIPFA’s apprenticeship offer currently includes the Level 7 Accountancy Professional Apprenticeship, which integrates study for the CIPFA Professional Accountancy Qualification leading to Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA) status, and the Level 4 Counter Fraud Investigator Apprenticeship, which can include the Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist award. Programmes are delivered primarily via live online classes, supported by virtual learning resources, structured on‑the‑job training and one‑to‑one support from work‑based learning coaches. CIPFA’s apprenticeships have been graded “Good” by Ofsted. Through the CIPFA Education and Training Centre, the institute also provides a wider portfolio of public‑sector‑focused qualifications, CPD training, bespoke in‑house courses and collaborative recruitment and training schemes for employers. These services are designed to help organisations build highly skilled public finance and counter fraud teams while making effective use of apprenticeship levy funding.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
