CILEX Law School

CILEX Law School is a specialist provider of blended legal education and professional development, supporting learners at all stages from school leavers and apprentices to experienced paralegals and senior legal professionals. Established in 1983, it supports around 3,000 students at any one time and is described as the largest provider of CILEX‑focused legal education. Its programmes are built around the CILEX Professional Competency Framework and current developments in the legal sector, aiming to equip learners with technical legal expertise alongside business, technology and relationship skills so they can make an immediate impact in the workplace. CILEX Law School delivers high‑quality distance‑learning programmes for all three stages of the CILEX Professional Qualification (CPQ) – Foundation, Advanced and Professional – and continues to support learners on legacy CILEX Level 3 and Level 6 qualifications. For employers, the school offers flexible, work‑focused training models, including tailored provision for law firms, legal disciplinary partnerships and alternative business structures, such as in‑house academies, designed to align learning with specific business objectives and workforce development needs.
