About
Chelmsford College
Chelmsford College is a general further education provider offering a broad range of vocational and professional programmes, with apprenticeships forming a core part of its provision. Apprenticeships are delivered on a day-release basis or via one‑to‑one sessions with a dedicated work‑based tutor, enabling learners to gain nationally recognised qualifications while earning a salary and working alongside experienced colleagues. Programmes typically last between one and four years, depending on level, sector and individual ability, and the college supports both new recruits and existing employees, working with employers to ensure training meets workplace needs. If a prospective apprentice does not have an employer, the college’s recruitment team offers an expression of interest process, initial guidance, CV support and matching to suitable vacancies, followed by employer interviews and onboarding. Apprentices benefit from full access to college facilities and support services, including student support, careers and progression advice, and help with interview preparation. Beyond apprenticeships, the college offers full‑time study programmes, adult learning, higher education (HTQs), T Levels and industry placements, Institute of Technology courses, online courses, skills bootcamps and sector‑based work academy programmes, delivered across its Moulsham Street and Princes Road campuses in Chelmsford.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
