About
Canine Groom School
Canine Groom School offers government-funded apprenticeships designed to develop practical skills in dog grooming and animal care while learners are employed in real working environments. Through its apprenticeship site, the provider promotes fully funded programmes where apprentices earn a wage and receive structured training backed by the UK Government. Apprentices benefit from one-to-one coaching and online lessons delivered by experienced tutors, with additional support to help them secure or work with an appropriate employer, including assistance in finding salons and the provision of marketing materials to approach local businesses. The apprenticeship offer includes a Dog Grooming Level 2 Apprenticeship focused on washing, clipping, styling and caring for a range of dog breeds over 12–15 months, aimed at those starting out or planning future self-employment. Canine Groom School also delivers Animal Care & Welfare Level 2 Apprenticeships, covering handling, welfare, feeding and health routines across kennels, shelters and day-care settings over 12–18 months, and an Animal Care & Welfare Management Level 3 pathway over 18–24 months, which develops supervisory and team leadership skills for more experienced staff or those progressing from Level 2. The provider emphasises step-by-step support throughout the apprenticeship journey for both new entrants and career changers. (apprentice.caninegroomschool.co.uk)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
