About
Cambridgeshire Skills
Cambridgeshire Skills is the adult learning service of Cambridgeshire County Council, offering a broad programme of accredited and non-accredited courses for adults aged 19 and over who are ordinarily resident in the UK. Through flexible online, livestreamed and face‑to‑face delivery, it supports learners to build skills that lead to meaningful and sustained employment or progression to further learning, while also contributing to wider outcomes such as improved health and wellbeing, stronger communities and support for parents and carers in their children’s learning. Apprenticeships are delivered as part of a council-wide apprenticeship service: the Learning and Development team recruits apprentices into genuine job roles within the council and supports existing staff to undertake apprenticeships linked to their roles, combining practical workplace training with structured study. The service provides clear learner information on course levels from entry to level 3, funding eligibility and fee remission, and many courses are fully funded for eligible learners in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough or other non‑devolved areas. Dedicated Adult Careers Advisers offer impartial information, advice and guidance, including help with progression planning, employability skills, CVs, job search and interview preparation, delivered online and via local Guidance Hubs across the county in locations such as Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, March, Ramsey, St Ives, St Neots and Wisbech. Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
