Bury College

About
Bury College
Bury College is a further education college in Greater Manchester offering a comprehensive apprenticeship and skills training offer for both new recruits and existing staff. Apprenticeships at Bury College are real jobs with structured training, combining paid employment with at least six hours per week of off‑the‑job learning to develop role‑specific skills, knowledge and behaviours. Programmes are available from Level 2 up to higher levels across a wide range of sectors, with particular apprenticeship areas including accounting, business administration, childcare, customer service, dental nursing, hairdressing, health and social care, teaching assistants and team leading. Apprentices are supported throughout by experienced Learning and Skills Coaches who provide tailored workplace visits, skills development and pastoral support, and who work closely with employers to align training to business needs. The college’s Apprenticeship Team helps employers identify skills gaps, access funding opportunities, and create professional development packages, as well as managing recruitment through live vacancy advertising and candidate screening. Alongside apprenticeships, Bury College delivers full-time programmes for 16–18 year olds, adult courses, free online Level 2 learning and higher education through its University Centre, providing clear progression routes for individuals and flexible workforce development options for employers.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
