About
Burton and South Derbyshire College
Burton and South Derbyshire College (BSDC) is a further and higher education college offering a broad range of training and qualifications for school leavers, adults and employers. The college delivers full‑time and part‑time courses from entry level through to degree level, with a strong focus on technical and professional skills closely aligned to employer needs. Apprenticeships are a core part of BSDC’s offer, enabling learners aged 16 and over to earn while they learn through work‑based training and college study. Apprenticeships typically last one to four years and are available at intermediate (Level 2), advanced (Level 3) and higher levels (Levels 4–6), combining nationally recognised qualifications, practical skills development and, where needed, Maths, English and ICT. BSDC works with hundreds of employers and has partnerships with organisations such as Toyota Manufacturing UK, Microsoft and St. George’s Park to ensure its curriculum reflects current industry requirements and gives learners exposure to real work projects. For employers, the college provides bespoke work‑based training solutions, industry coaching, apprenticeships and support to deliver in‑house education and training, backed by ongoing investment in industry‑standard facilities and a dedicated University Centre for higher‑level study.(bsdc.ac.uk)(bsdc.ac.uk)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
