Brighter Beginnings

Brighter Beginnings is a family-run childcare company that has operated in the sector since 1991 and now runs nine nursery settings across North and South Manchester and Oldham. Alongside its nurseries, the organisation has established the Brighter Beginnings Training Academy, known as Race Ahead Training, which serves as a hub for early years education and wider workforce development. Through this academy, they are qualified to provide training not only for their own teams but also to childcare settings across the UK, offering childcare courses from Level 2 to Level 5, assessor training, and self‑funded childcare and education courses. They also promote apprenticeships within their nurseries, where Apprentice Nursery Practitioners gain hands-on experience while working towards recognised childcare qualifications under the guidance of experienced staff. In addition, Race Ahead Training delivers programmes in business administration, team leading and operational management, customer service at Levels 2 and 3, as well as short courses and CPD‑focused training. This combination of practical nursery environments and structured training provision is aimed at developing skilled early years and support staff for both Brighter Beginnings and external employers across the childcare sector and related fields.
