About
Bishop Burton College
Bishop Burton College is a specialist land-based and technical education provider offering a wide range of apprenticeships and vocational training designed to meet employer and workforce needs. Apprenticeships are available for learners aged 16 and over across subjects including animal management, agriculture, butchery, construction, countryside management, equine, horticulture, engineering, environmental conservation and teacher training. Apprentices are employed full-time, typically spending four days in the workplace and one day at college, combining practical on-the-job learning with structured classroom teaching and portfolio-based assessment, with some programmes including an end-point assessment. The college welcomes both new entrants and existing employees seeking to upskill or change career, and can work with employers to support recruitment to apprenticeship vacancies or to train current staff. Alongside apprenticeships, Bishop Burton provides school leaver programmes, adult learning, degree-level courses at its University Centre, and a range of training and accredited short courses for businesses, supported by specialist facilities and industry-experienced staff. The Business and Employers team also offers partnership opportunities, student and graduate recruitment support, and access to conference and event facilities on campus.(bishopburton.ac.uk)(bishopburton.ac.uk)
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
