Barnardo's

About
Barnardo's
Barnardo’s is a UK children’s charity that delivers a broad Employment, Training and Skills (ETS) offer designed to help young people move into sustained education, employment or training. Through partnerships with employers, schools, colleges and other charities, Barnardo’s trains and supports over 3,000 young people each year via around 20 specialist ETS services across the UK. Their provision includes apprenticeship programmes in areas such as beauty therapy, business administration, customer service, hairdressing, facilities management, retail, team leading, warehouse operations, early years and children and young people’s workforce roles, with pathways from Level 2 up to Level 7. Alongside apprenticeships, Barnardo’s offers study programmes, traineeships and work‑readiness and employability courses, which combine vocational qualifications, English, maths and ICT with work experience and careers advice. Programmes such as ETS regional centres, the Building Hope Academy construction course, and the JOBS Project with Amazon provide sector-specific training, employability workshops, mentoring and progression into jobs or further apprenticeships. Services are tailored to individual needs and include ongoing support with applications, interview skills and workplace transition, helping employers build motivated entry‑level talent pipelines while enabling young people, including those who are NEET or leaving care, to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications needed for long-term careers.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
