About
Aston University
Aston University is a leading UK provider of degree apprenticeships and work-based higher education, working closely with employers to design programmes that address specific skills gaps in business and industry. Its degree apprenticeships offer a work-based route to a full university degree for both existing employees and school leavers, with learning structured so apprentices can immediately apply new knowledge and skills in their day-to-day roles. Programmes are developed in conjunction with employers and professional bodies and can be tailored through elective modules, case studies, assignments and final projects to support an organisation’s strategic priorities. Aston reports over 1,200 degree apprentices across the UK and was among the first universities to see degree apprenticeship graduates in 2017. The university has received a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating for its apprenticeship provision and highlights strong outcomes, including a high proportion of graduates achieving first-class or 2:1 degrees. In addition to apprenticeships, Aston offers a wide portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate, online courses, professional/CPD programmes and work-based degrees across disciplines such as business, engineering, computer science, health and life sciences, law and social sciences, supporting both individual upskilling and employer-focused workforce development.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
