About
Appris
Appris is a West Yorkshire-based, employer-led training provider whose core business is engineering and manufacturing apprenticeships. Operating as Appris Charity, a not‑for‑profit registered charity with Appris Management Limited as its wholly owned subsidiary, the organisation has been established as a Group Training Association since 1967 and remains governed by engineering employers and professionals. It specialises in delivering apprenticeship standards aligned to regional strategic skills priorities and works with over 200 member companies and 500+ apprentices across West Yorkshire, positioning itself as a provider of choice for the engineering industry. Appris supports employers to recruit and develop apprentices, providing access to a pool of tested, interviewed and screened candidates and aligning apprenticeship programmes with specific job roles. In addition to apprenticeships, Appris offers consultancy and training services, including ISO management systems consultancy across ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001, and technical courses such as Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificates (HNCs) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering delivered via day-release. These programmes are designed to upskill existing staff or support progression beyond Level 3 qualifications through high-quality technical training.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
