Achievement Training

Achievement Training Limited (ATL) is a private training organisation based in Plymouth city centre, delivering a wide range of flexible educational and vocational training to young people and adults. Established in 1996, ATL offers apprenticeships, centre-based courses and online qualifications, with provision spanning animal care and management, beauty, hairdressing and nails, business administration, customer service, management and team leading, childcare and early years, education and training including supporting teaching and learning in schools, employability and progression into work, functional skills and GCSEs in English and maths, health and social care, IT user and professional skills, and digital skills. Apprenticeships are offered with a wide range of employers, supporting progression into sustained employment. Training is designed to address personal and educational barriers affecting attendance, retention and achievement, with a learner‑centred approach that includes pastoral care, careers guidance and well-being support. ATL’s e-learning platform provides additional flexibility so learners can fit professional development around work and personal commitments. The organisation works closely with local employers and its parent company, City College Plymouth, to offer services that extend beyond training alone, and holds MATRIX accreditation for internal and external information, advice and guidance, as well as Disability Confident status.
