Access Training
Access Training is an established, award‑winning training provider based on Team Valley in Gateshead, delivering programmes for businesses and individuals across the North East for around 40 years. It focuses on work‑based learning, offering apprenticeships from Level 2 up to Level 7 in a wide range of occupational areas, including accounts (AAT), business administration, fire, emergency and security systems, human resources, team leadership and management, project management, marketing, and learning and skills (assessor and teacher). Apprenticeships are designed around employer needs, combining on‑ and off‑the‑job learning to develop job‑specific knowledge, skills and behaviours, with typical durations ranging from around 15 months for some Level 3–5 programmes to over 30 months for technical standards such as Fire, Emergency & Security Systems. Access Training supports both new recruits and existing employees, offering recruitment support, screening candidates, and tailoring programme content and duration to previous experience. The organisation also provides higher‑level and professional development options, including Level 7 accountancy apprenticeships through its Access Accountancy Hub and digital and IT training through its Access Digital Hub. Employers are supported with guidance on funding, the Apprenticeship Levy and incentives, while apprentices benefit from ongoing support, progression opportunities and high employment retention after completion.
