About
Access Skills
Access Skills is a UK-based, family-owned national training provider specialising in health and social care training, with a strong focus on leadership, management and frontline care qualifications. The organisation delivers a wide range of accredited programmes, including government‑funded Level 2–5 qualifications in adult care, residential childcare and leadership for adult care, alongside induction and practitioner training tailored to care providers. Apprenticeships and qualifications are delivered through flexible models that combine remote tutor/assessor support, workplace observations and online learning resources, designed to fit around work and personal commitments. Access Skills integrates course activities with learners’ specific job roles, using workplace observation to assess competency and applying sector‑aligned resources, including access to Quality Compliance Systems (QCS) for regulatory and best practice support in health and social care. Learners benefit from one‑to‑one tutorials, webinars and workshops, a learning portal to track progress, and additional wellbeing and pastoral support. Access Skills reports achievement rates around 20% above the sector average and high learner satisfaction, and positions its training as a route to improved skills, progression to senior roles, and support for employers seeking compliant, high‑quality care provision.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
