Walsall College
Walsall College is a further education provider offering vocational technical qualifications, apprenticeships and higher education programmes to over 11,000 learners each year. Its apprenticeship provision spans GCSE-equivalent through to higher levels and is available both to new recruits and existing employees, enabling employers to develop their workforce in line with current and future skills needs. The college positions itself as one of the most successful in the country, with a strong focus on employment outcomes and progression, reporting high achievement rates on vocational programmes and partnerships with around 1,000 employers. For businesses, Walsall College provides a dedicated service to help identify appropriate apprenticeship pathways, access funding, and manage recruitment, including advertising vacancies and screening candidates. Apprenticeship delivery includes on-the-job training combined with structured off-the-job learning, and in some areas uses a blended “Online and On Campus” model to minimise workplace disruption and improve retention. Alongside apprenticeships, the college offers courses for school leavers, adults, university-level study, distance learning and other employer services, all aligned to its vision of transforming lives and communities through learning and its purpose of delivering inclusive learning that equips people with skills and confidence for work and life.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
