About
North West Training Council
North West Training Council (NWTC) is a specialist engineering training provider serving employers and learners in the Liverpool City Region and beyond. Its stated mission is to deliver high quality engineering training and raise skills levels across the region, with a vision to be a leading UK training provider for engineers of the future. NWTC offers a blend of apprenticeship and commercial training, with apprenticeship delivery based at its main site in Liverpool. The organisation reports strong 2023/24 apprentice achievement rates that significantly exceed national averages, including higher overall, 16–18 and independent training provider performance. NWTC’s work is organised around apprenticeships, commercial training and higher education routes, supported by purpose-built facilities showcased through an online 360° tour of its training centre. The provider emphasises integrity, innovation, continuous improvement and inclusion in its values, focusing on high-quality, industry-relevant education, proactive curriculum development and equitable access to training. Employers can access information tailored to their needs via dedicated employer sections, while apprenticeship vacancies and course listings support recruitment and upskilling pathways.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
