North London Garages Group Training Association (NLGGTA) provides specialist apprenticeship and technical training for the UK motor industry, focusing on motor vehicle mechanics for learners aged 16 and over. Operating for over 50 years and formed originally by the Road Transport Industry Training Board to support garages in the Enfield area, they now work with employers across London. NLGGTA delivers a range of motor vehicle apprenticeships alongside Functional Skills, helping new entrants develop the knowledge and practical skills needed for workshop roles. The organisation is an Investors in People company and an approved assessment centre for the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and City & Guilds, ensuring its programmes meet recognised industry standards. In addition to apprenticeship pathways, NLGGTA offers upskilling and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for qualified technicians, including Electric and Hybrid vehicle training, Vehicle Service and Repair, Diagnostics and Refrigerant Handling courses. With substantial experience and thousands of apprentices trained, NLGGTA supports both employers seeking to develop their workforce and individuals looking to start or progress a technical career in the motor vehicle sector.
