About
North Bristol NHS Trust
North Bristol NHS Trust provides a structured programme of clinical and non‑clinical apprenticeships through its Learning & Development function. Apprenticeships are delivered both via an in‑house Apprenticeship Centre, which holds Matrix Accreditation for high‑quality information, advice and guidance, and in partnership with the South West Association of Training Providers (SWATPro) for clinical pathways. The Trust currently delivers apprenticeships in Senior Healthcare Support Worker (Level 3), Business Administration (Level 3), Customer Service (Level 2) and Leadership and Management (Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor). In addition, it works with external providers to support staff into Trainee Nursing Associate and Assistant Practitioner roles (Level 5), Registered Nurse Degree (Level 6) and Advanced Clinical Practice (Level 7). Apprentices are employed in paid roles and complete at least six hours per week of off‑the‑job learning during working time, through study sessions, simulation, online learning, shadowing, mentoring and assessments. Programmes typically last 15–18 months and are fully funded for eligible staff, with opportunities advertised via the Trust’s vacancies and the Government Find an Apprenticeship service. The provision is designed to help existing staff progress and to provide entry routes for those looking to join the Trust, with a focus on developing role‑relevant skills, improving productivity and supporting workforce development.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
