About
EAS Mechanical
EAS Mechanical is a specialist building services engineering training centre based in central Northampton, offering government-funded apprenticeships and short courses for the plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilation, and gas sectors. The centre delivers apprenticeships in Plumbing & Heating, Electrical Installation, and Building Services Engineering Installation (Heating and Ventilation), as well as Gas, with qualifications up to Level 2 and Level 3. Apprenticeship delivery is structured around small groups (maximum 1:14) to improve the learning experience, with a mature, team-focused environment and regular 12‑weekly progress reviews with employers. Employers are informed daily if apprentices do not attend. EAS Mechanical emphasises practical, well-resourced training, with workshops equipped with modern tools and materials, and learning enhanced by manufacturer demonstrations of new products and technologies. The centre also supports learners to enter regional skills competitions, including pathways that have led to participation with WorldSkills UK. Alongside apprenticeships, EAS offers an extensive range of short courses for existing operatives, including Water Regulations, Unvented Hot Water (Part G), 18th Edition update, and gas and LPG assessments, aimed at upskilling the current workforce and supporting ongoing professional development.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
