About
York College & University Centre
York College & University Centre is a large general further education college offering a broad apprenticeship and skills training offer alongside academic and vocational programmes. The College delivers around 30 apprenticeship programmes and works with more than 1,000 employers to help them recruit apprentices and provide bespoke training for their employees, enabling staff to earn while they learn and develop role-specific skills. Apprenticeships sit within a wider curriculum that spans entry level through to degree and accredited professional courses, including A Levels, vocational and T Level programmes, flexible higher education routes via the University Centre, and professional qualifications for adults aimed at upskilling, retraining or progressing in their careers. York College combines nearly 200 years of experience with modern, specialist teaching and training facilities on a campus rebuilt in 2007 following a £60 million redevelopment. The College is guided by the core values of Ambition, Care, Respect and Success, is judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted, and provides what it describes as the widest range of courses in the region, covering areas such as business and professional studies, engineering, construction, health and social care, digital and media, and more. This breadth allows employers and individuals to access apprenticeship pathways and complementary courses tailored to sector needs and career progression.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
