About
Waterton Academy Trust
Waterton Academy Trust is a primary-only multi-academy trust established in 2014, providing education across early years, primary and specialist settings in South and West Yorkshire. The trust supports a network of primary academies, independent special academies and pre-schools, with a focus on delivering high-quality provision that gives every child the best possible start to their educational journey. Its work is underpinned by five pillars: high-quality education, continuous school improvement, workforce development, robust finance and operations, and strong governance and leadership, all designed to ensure schools thrive and staff are well supported. For workforce development, the trust highlights specific pathways such as apprenticeships, teacher training and early career support, alongside broader initiatives to support and develop its employees. Through collaboration and a strong community ethos, Waterton Academy Trust aims to create nurturing environments where pupils and staff feel valued, motivated and able to achieve their full potential, reflecting its vision that “success is a shared experience.” (watertonacademytrust.org)

Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
