About
University of Worcester
The University of Worcester delivers a growing portfolio of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships designed in partnership with employers to meet national, regional and local skills needs. Its apprenticeship strategy supports the University’s core pledges to create possibilities, develop potential and increase community engagement, and was endorsed by Ofsted in May 2023 with an overall grade of ‘Good’ for apprenticeship provision. Programmes focus particularly on healthcare, allied health and education, including pathways such as Assistant Practitioner (with options in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics), Nursing Associate, Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeships, Social Worker (integrated degree) and primary teacher apprenticeships, as well as other higher and degree apprenticeship routes. Courses are built around substantial work-based learning, with apprentices employed in relevant roles, earning as they learn, and fees typically funded through the Apprenticeship Levy or employer sponsorship. Apprentices benefit from experienced academic and clinical staff, specialist simulation and skills facilities, and curricula aligned to relevant professional standards. The University also offers a broad range of undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing professional development courses, enabling employers to access progression pathways for their workforce and individuals to upskill over the longer term.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
