The JCB Academy

About
The JCB Academy
The JCB Academy is an approved apprenticeship training centre that builds on its engineering and business-focused education to deliver technical training for apprentices on behalf of a range of employers. According to its website, the Academy does not employ apprentices directly, but works in partnership with companies who use its facilities and staff expertise to deliver the academic and technical components of apprenticeship programmes while apprentices are employed by those partner organisations. The JCB Academy offers intermediate and advanced apprenticeships in Engineering and Fabrication and Welding, including Level 2 Welder, Level 2 Engineering Operative, Level 3 Engineering Technician, Level 3 Machining Technician and Level 4 Manufacturing Engineering Technician. Training is delivered across two specialist sites in Rocester: the main Academy, a converted historic mill, and the Dove Engineering Centre, a purpose-designed facility equipped with modern CAD and mechatronics technologies to support project-based learning. This provision is aimed at developing industry-ready skills using industry-standard equipment, with employers drawing on the Academy’s technical environment to upskill new and existing staff through structured apprenticeship pathways.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
