About
St Helens College
St Helens College is a large further education provider in the North West offering apprenticeships and technical training for school leavers, adults and employers. Through more than 40 apprenticeship standards from Level 2 to Level 4, and additional programmes up to Level 7, the College combines workplace learning with classroom or workshop-based teaching so apprentices gain job-specific skills, knowledge and behaviours while in paid employment. Employers can work with a dedicated Business Development Team that provides free services including training needs analysis, recruitment and matching of apprentices, and guidance on apprenticeship funding and sign-up processes. The College is described as one of the largest education providers in the region, working with over 500 businesses across the Liverpool City Region and surrounding areas, and reports apprenticeship achievement rates 6% above the national average. Alongside apprenticeships, St Helens College delivers a wide curriculum of technical qualifications, adult courses, higher education at its University Centre, and specialist provision such as its STEM Centre and Green Energy Skills Centre, which focus on developing industry-relevant skills for current and future workforces.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
