About
South Essex College
South Essex College, part of South Essex Colleges Group, is a further and higher education provider offering a broad apprenticeship and skills portfolio for employers and individuals. The College delivers over 20 apprenticeship programmes across sectors such as accounting, business administration, teaching support, team leading/supervision and welding, alongside specialist routes like marine engineering developed in response to employer demand. Apprenticeships are offered from Level 2 up to higher levels, combining paid employment with classroom, online and virtual learning so apprentices can earn while they learn and gain nationally recognised qualifications. For employers, the College works with hundreds of businesses each year, supporting both levy-paying and SME organisations with recruitment of new apprentices and upskilling existing staff, including the development of bespoke apprenticeship solutions aligned to workforce needs. South Essex College also provides professional apprenticeships through blended online and virtual classroom models in partnership with Mindful Education, helping minimise disruption to operations while maintaining flexibility for learners. In addition to apprenticeships, the College offers A Levels, further education, adult and part-time provision, and higher education through University Centre South Essex, with campuses and specialist centres across Southend, Basildon, Thurrock and Stephenson Road. Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
