About
MidKent College
MidKent College is a further education provider serving Medway, Maidstone and the wider Kent area, with a long history of delivering technical training and apprenticeships. The College offers intermediate, advanced and higher apprenticeships across sectors including accountancy, business, accounting and HR, construction trades, customer service, engineering and motor trades. Apprentices typically spend most of their time in the workplace gaining hands-on experience, combined with regular attendance at college, usually one day per week, to learn underpinning theory, with English and maths integrated at an appropriate level. Tutors are industry professionals with significant sector experience, and programmes are designed in partnership with local and national employers to reflect current industry practice and expectations. MidKent College is an approved apprenticeship provider by the Department for Education. Alongside apprenticeships, the College provides full-time and part-time study programmes for 16–18 and adult learners, T Levels, access to higher education, higher education and professional courses delivered through University Centre Maidstone, and a range of vocational and technical programmes delivered in sector-specific simulated work environments. The College operates modern campuses in Medway and Maidstone and is described by Ofsted as a student-centred provider focused on helping learners progress into employment or higher study.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
