Textile Centre of Excellence

Textile Centre of Excellence (TCoE) is a private, not‑for‑profit Group Training Association that delivers industry-focused training and apprenticeships across the UK. From its specialist training and conferencing facility in Huddersfield, the Centre offers quality‑assured, flexible programmes up to foundation degree equivalent level, serving both textile manufacturers and a wide range of other sectors. Its apprenticeship portfolio includes fashion and textile manufacturing, laboratory, and leadership and management routes, delivered on employer premises and at the Centre, with provision approved by the Department for Education and Ofsted. Alongside apprenticeships, TCoE runs a broad menu of commercial and funded courses, including health and safety, fire safety, IOSH and NEBOSH, first aid, RTITB‑accredited fork lift truck training, and ILM‑accredited leadership and management programmes. The Centre also provides Skills Bootcamps in textile manufacturing and for team leaders and supervisors, plus short courses and CPD that support progression into and through apprenticeships. Through projects such as Edu4Tex, the Sewing Academy, and sustainability initiatives, TCoE works with employers, schools, colleges and universities to promote careers in textiles, support digital and technical skills, and help companies upskill their workforce and improve productivity.
