About
Herefordshire Ludlow and North Shropshire College
Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College (HLNSC) is a Further Education college group made up of five colleges across Herefordshire and North Shropshire. The group delivers a broad apprenticeship offer through HLNSC Apprenticeships and County Training, providing paid, work‑based learning programmes designed with employers to meet sector and job‑role needs. Apprenticeships span a wide variety of occupations and industries, with opportunities available across Herefordshire, Shropshire and beyond, and combine practical, on‑the‑job experience with structured off‑the‑job learning. HLNSC supports both employers and apprentices with free expert guidance throughout the process and promotes an ‘earn as you learn’ model, with current apprenticeship vacancies and a dedicated apprenticeship prospectus accessible online. Alongside apprenticeships, HLNSC offers full‑time A Level and T Level programmes, higher education including Higher Technical Qualifications, part‑time and short courses, distance learning, and free courses for adults, as well as a wide range of vocational provision from foundation to degree level. The Gateway Adult and Community Education Centre in Shrewsbury serves as a key base for community learning courses, further extending access to skills development for adult learners.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
