About
Fareham College
Fareham College, part of South Hampshire College Group, is described as an outstanding provider of career‑led technical and professional courses that prepare learners to progress into apprenticeships, higher education or skilled employment. The college offers a diverse programme including T Levels, traineeships, apprenticeships, higher education, and part‑time and professional courses, supported by strong links with regional employers and universities to provide industry placements, trips, and enrichment opportunities. Apprenticeship and workforce training for employers is coordinated through Business Plus, the Group’s central service based at Fareham College, which supports organisations to recruit apprentices, upskill existing staff via apprenticeships or university‑level courses, design bespoke adult learning programmes, and develop traineeships, skills bootcamps and sector‑based work academy programmes. Business Plus also helps employers identify and access available funding, and offers a free recruitment service that covers vacancy promotion, candidate shortlisting, initial interviews and ongoing support. Training can be delivered on site at employer premises, at college campuses or online, ranging from short workshops to full‑year accredited qualifications, with curriculum co‑designed with employers in areas such as civil engineering, groundworks and telecoms to address local skills gaps and meet occupational standards.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
