About
Croydon Council
Croydon Council, the local authority for the London Borough of Croydon, plays a coordinating and enabling role in apprenticeship provision for residents and local employers. Through initiatives such as the Croydon Apprenticeship Academy and campaigns like “100 in 100”, the council works in partnership with local businesses, colleges and training providers to create and promote apprenticeship opportunities across a wide range of sectors and levels. It supports employers by encouraging them to pledge apprenticeship vacancies, highlighting the productivity and workforce development benefits, and in some cases helping to cover training costs for smaller businesses. For residents, the council helps open up apprenticeships from GCSE to degree level, providing routes into trades, technical and professional roles, and using its job brokerage service, Croydon Works, to match local talent with vacancies. In addition, the council’s adult learning and training arm, Croydon Adult Learning and Training (CALAT), offers further training and guidance, including information on apprenticeships, traineeships and other upskilling options to help people improve their employability and progress in work.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
