About
Cornwall College
Cornwall College, part of The Cornwall College Group, is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ further education provider offering a wide range of vocational training, apprenticeships and higher education across Cornwall and Devon. The College delivers apprenticeship training in sectors such as construction, engineering, motor vehicle, marine, digital technology, catering, hair, early years, business, accounting, health and social care and more, working with hundreds of employers each year to develop vacancies and help them recruit a skilled workforce. Apprentices typically work at least 30 hours a week, combining workplace learning with college-based training, and the College offers support with recruitment, CV writing and interview preparation for prospective apprentices. For employers, Cornwall College provides guidance on apprenticeship funding, including current support for SMEs, and tailors programmes to meet specific business needs, helping to address skills gaps and build future talent. Beyond apprenticeships, the College offers 16–18 study programmes, adult courses, university-level programmes and professional upskilling, delivered from campuses in Camborne, Newquay and St Austell, alongside specialist partner colleges Duchy College, Bicton College and Falmouth Marine School, plus dedicated skills centres in Plymouth and St Mellion and a training partnership with the Eden Project.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
