About
City of Wolverhampton College
City of Wolverhampton College is a further education provider offering apprenticeships, full-time and part-time courses for school leavers, adults and higher education learners. Its stated purpose is “Defining Futures”, focused on helping students progress into further study or employment. The college delivers a wide range of apprenticeship programmes, including automotive, business and management, business improvement, construction, drinks dispense, engineering, hair and barbering, and polymer processing, enabling apprentices to earn while they learn and work towards industry-recognised standards. Apprentices are supported throughout by college tutors and assessors, and can start at different points in the year. For employers, the college provides apprenticeship services that include help with hiring apprentices, upskilling existing staff and accessing apprenticeship funding. It works with over 700 local, regional, national and multinational organisations and offers professional training for employers in areas such as adult care, business improvement techniques and health and safety. Alongside apprenticeships, the college offers full-time study options for 16–18-year-olds, adult learning, higher technical qualifications and specialist training such as polymer and rail training, supported by ongoing investment in campus and facilities to maintain first-class learning environments.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
