Buckinghamshire New University

About
Buckinghamshire New University
Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) delivers higher and degree apprenticeships as a substantial part of its academic offer, working in partnership with employers across private, public and social-purpose sectors. Its industry‑developed apprenticeship standards span areas such as leadership, digital and technology solutions, product design, engineering and health and social care. Apprenticeships are designed as a three‑way partnership between the apprentice, the employer and the University, supported by a dedicated Apprenticeship Hub that manages administration, eligibility checks, application and ongoing tripartite reviews. Training is delivered through practice‑based and blended learning, using the University’s virtual learning environment and specialist facilities across campuses in High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Uxbridge. BNU emphasises flexible delivery, allowing apprentices to earn while they learn and gain a degree without the costs of traditional study routes. The University also provides structured guidance around funding, including levy and non‑levy arrangements, and supports employers to use apprenticeship pathways for workforce development, upskilling and talent pipelines. In addition to apprenticeships, BNU engages with wider employability and skills initiatives such as the Skill Up Bucks programme, connecting employers with local talent through work experience, internships, mentoring and sector‑based activities.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
