Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) offers a wide range of technical and professional education options designed to support individuals and employers in developing skills for the modern economy. Through its apprenticeships, higher and degree apprenticeships and other career-focused qualifications, the college works in close collaboration with industry, including via the Institute of Technology at B&FC and the Lancashire & Cumbria Institute of Technology, to deliver cutting-edge technical training that addresses current and future skills gaps. Specialist provision includes maritime and offshore training at Fleetwood Nautical Campus and energy-focused programmes at Lancashire Energy HQ, where learners access industry-standard facilities and expert tutors. Alongside apprenticeships, B&FC provides programmes for school leavers, adult learners and degree-level students, plus short professional courses, bespoke training for employers, skills bootcamps and access to high-quality training facilities. The college embeds sustainability across its campuses and courses and offers public access to selected facilities such as its gym, sports centre, restaurant and salon, helping students gain real-world experience while delivering services to the community.
