Type of provider
Type of training provider
There are four types of training provider:
A National Provider is a training provider that is able to offer apprenticeship training in any location across England. Some national providers might also offer training in the devolved nations, i.e. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
An FE college is a state-funded provider that can offer a broad range of training options in a particular location to a range of employers.
A Specialist Provider is a training provider that is not state-funded and tends to offer training in specialist sectors or locations.
Universities offer training for Degree Apprenticeships or Higher Apprenticeships, sometimes running specialist courses for apprentices on a particular standard.
Whitehead-Ross Education and Consulting Ltd is an innovative education and social welfare organisation. As a small training provider with 17 full-time staff, we are able to deliver tailored and responsive training for your business, offering flexibility not available from the colleges. All delivery is conducted on the employer's own premises at a convenient time. This can include weekends and evenings to meet the needs of all learners. If there is no suitable place to conduct review meetings or assessments (such as online tests) we can rent a local venue or utilise our modern learning centre in Brighton City Centre, as appropriate. In terms of reasonable adjustments, we can adapt our delivery to reduce the effect of a disability or difficulty, which places the learner at a substantial disadvantage in the assessment situation.
