There are four types of training provider:
A National Provider is a training provider that is able to offer apprenticeship training in any location across England. Some national providers might also offer training in the devolved nations, i.e. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
An FE college is a state-funded provider that can offer a broad range of training options in a particular location to a range of employers.
A Specialist Provider is a training provider that is not state-funded and tends to offer training in specialist sectors or locations.
Universities offer training for Degree Apprenticeships or Higher Apprenticeships, sometimes running specialist courses for apprentices on a particular standard.
During the last 5 years Playground Squad UK LTD has offered apprenticeships solely focusing on developing the skills of Game Industry hopefuls. Working with multiple partners such as Sony, EA and Microsoft. PSQ has developed a core staff of training providers to teach and train many team dynamics. Each apprenticeship contains a focus on Game Art, Game Programming and Game Design. Within these apprenticeship's we cater to Employer needs and help improve areas of their staff upon request. With course variation and on the job training available we look to accommodate the requests of Employers that is best suited to delivering the best quality training. Courses can be edited to suit pipeline needs from anywhere between 12 - 24 months.
