About
Lynher Training
Lynher Training is a specialist land-based training provider delivering short courses across chainsaw operation, forestry and arboriculture, trees and timber, machinery and plant, workshop skills, rural skills, and health and safety – including first aid – throughout Southwest England. The organisation has been running courses on client sites across the region and by arrangement elsewhere for over 30 years. Lynher Training is a UK Registered Training Provider (UKPRN 10042291) and is approved by Lantra Awards and NPTC (City & Guilds), with the capability to deliver training and assessments leading to qualifications from Lantra Awards, City & Guilds NPTC, City & Guilds Levels 1–3, Qualsafe Awards, SEG Awards (formerly ABC), and BALI’s ROLO health and safety scheme. They offer both open courses for individual learners and tailored training for employer groups, with discounts often available for group bookings. Where formal assessment is not required, the provider issues its own certificate of attendance, and many courses can contribute towards NVQ or QCF awards as accreditation of prior learning. Training is delivered on sites across the Southwest, with administration based in the Tamar Valley near Tavistock.
Apprenticeships Offered:
Apprenticeship standards detail what an apprentice will be doing in their day-to-day job role.
Each standard lists the skills required of apprentices, and every standard is written by a group of employers called trailblazers-experts within their industry that have worked with countless apprentices.
Listed here are the apprenticeship standards this training provider offers training for.
