Type of training provider
There are four types of training provider:
A National Provider is a training provider that is able to offer apprenticeship training in any location across England. Some national providers might also offer training in the devolved nations, i.e. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
An FE college is a state-funded provider that can offer a broad range of training options in a particular location to a range of employers.
A Specialist Provider is a training provider that is not state-funded and tends to offer training in specialist sectors or locations.
Universities offer training for Degree Apprenticeships or Higher Apprenticeships, sometimes running specialist courses for apprentices on a particular standard.
Easton & Otley College is committed to providing a consistently high level of support, training and assessment to help you meet your skill needs whilst also ensuring your apprentice/s achieve their full potential. We will work closely with you to ensure that the apprenticeship offered is the most appropriate for the individuals job role and needs of the business.
Your apprentice will be trained at your workplace, and then depending on the type of apprenticeship they will either attend college on a day of block release or it will be delivered entirely in your workplace.
An assessor will be allocated to your apprentice and they will visit them in the workplace on a regular basis. They have the expertise to guide and support them through their programme of study and will ensure that you are kept informed of their progress.
